Case study #3 -
Advising organisation on forming an IT service delivery model

Fusion has been engaged by a major WA utility to advise and prepare its business and IT group for the commencement of a new IT service delivery model. The scope of services spans seven vendors, including two global service organisations, and covers service desk, infrastructure services and application services.

The initial consulting support and advice focussed on a vendor selection process that included issuance of RFPs and subsequent vendor evaluation across a number of services. Recent advice has targeted ensuring that all vendors work together closely in an integrated and effective manner, through teaming and planning.

As testament to Fusion’s ability to cut through difficult points in any project, an entire day facilitated workshop was conducted in an effort to forge important early relationships and identify fundamental elements of the overall service delivery model. Vendors have seen this as a highly successful innovative step at a time that was critical in the process of developing the overall service delivery model.
